There is no clue whatever to the authorship of these words. The music was com, posed by Bernard Covert, now a very aged man, but hale and hearty, living at Jamaica, Long Island, where he was born. He dresses quaintly, like an old Continental, and with voice unimpaired still sings his own songs to perfection. Within a few years, he has travelled with a concert company. |
